About Procopio’s Pantry
Peter Procopio opened Procopio’s Pantry in 2021 during the challenging post-lockdown period. He had dreamed of opening a tea room with a modern twist, and Procopio’s Pantry is the result. As well as sourcing quality food, drink and ingredients from local suppliers, Peter’s team makes all the cakes and treats in-house.
Winners of the Muddy Stilettos award for Best Cafe in Suffolk and Cambrideshire in 2022, they have quickly become the go-to place for good food and good company.
“We want to be part of the local community,” he explains. “The tea room offers a welcoming family atmosphere, and we’ll always stop and chat with our regular customers, just to see how they are.”
While plenty of thought goes into the menu and the quality of the ingredients, Peter’s team has also created a friendly space for customers to enjoy. It’s the perfect place to come whether you are looking for a tasty breakfast, a light lunch or an afternoon tea – all in the heart of Bury St Edmunds.
“We love making our customers feel special,” Peter says. “Whether it’s a day out with friends, a special birthday, or treating mum on Mother’s Day, we always try to exceed expectations and provide a memorable, friendly experience.
“It’s great to see customers enjoying our tea-room-with-a-twist, and appreciating our homemade and home-created dishes. We’re thrilled to be an award-winning part of the Bury St Edmunds community, and we look forward to welcoming customers old and new to Procopio’s Pantry.”
